It took me time
to emerge
from the darkness
within
I had made it
my world
to cover myself
in darkness.
But then my thoughts
my desires
my passion
all dark became.
In them I melted
to become
a statue of wax
that needed
neither light nor air.
A ray of light came
from nowhere and I
opened my eyes
and there was Light
again.
