Frugal attracts me
in life
and so in everything.
I don't like to carry 
an ounce extra
even in my body.
Everything is
just what is needed 
and nothing more
and so everything is 
taut
no slackness anywhere
Every moment 
is thus sacred to me
not to be wasted
on matters
that don't matter.
Life is made that way
and I make my life
that way.

Life has a way of cornering you
just when you are 
breathing easy!
Having shaken free
of ties that 
threatened 
to turn into chains
the debris came back
from the caution 
thrown to the winds.
I have hit the ground now
landing with a thud
but that's the only 
reality
the rest is a yarn
endlessly spun
by borrowed brains 
from fantasy fluff.

Abode

There is peace beyond peace
time beyond waves
horizon beyond horizon
and there is a being beyond
the body
and its abode is in lifting
your spirits
from the confines of flesh
into the vastness of
the sky and the oceans
with the murmur inside
every drop of the wave.
In that abode there is neither
me nor the body
it just is.

Time was when I thought
of life
as an unending stream
of pure joy and delight
the gift of a dream
from the Almighty
rays dancing on long stretches
of green pastures.
From nowhere appeared
raging bulls looking
for their mates
and then I met you!
I thought you were an angel
sent just for me.  How silly!
You wanted my flesh and 
I shuddered only
to recover and realise
that I relished yours too.
The carnal is also real
and it's something
if not everything.

I am feeling soft
inside in my heart
in my bones
in my cells
and there is 
the soft melting 
of soft snow
and the spread
of soft glow
and everything
is so delicately
poised
balancing each other
holding together
protecting the delicate
flesh that is life
at its softest
and closest.
And this moment
holds me
delicately
in all my softness.

Life began just about
only a few centuries ago
Light shown this morning
after just about ages
Dance moved my whole being
with just a few steps going
across whole continents
Trees rise to touch the skies
and spread over oceans
just as spring expresses
through my whole being
and Love begins to 
live again in the cosmos.
