Living trees

Shorn of tenderness 
gone are the leaves
leaving bare
the bark, the branch and the trunk
But life flows within
drawing upon its roots
waiting
waiting for another day
another fall
the rainfall.
It's enchanting
the way things happen
to change the outlook
no pushing no frothing.
I fancy some of it
rub into me.
